Let us make your wedding a weekend to remember. Be it an intimate rehearsal dinner or reception, bridal party or post-wedding brunch, or a grand, elegant reception, we realize that this special time happens only once and are committed to creating events that will bring many happy memories.
ROOMS & ATTENDANCE
The Old Ebbitt Grill makes for an impressive and unique location for a Washington, DC, in-town or destination wedding. Steeped in political history, the property is located two blocks from the White House, has an incredible panoramic view from our Roof Terrace of Washington’s most historic landmarks, and has been a natural gathering place for presidents and generals, lobbyists and theatergoers since 1856.
Our Rooftop Terrace, Atrium and Cabinet Room are ideal for wedding celebrations, ranging from small and intimate to grand and stylish for 20 to 250 guests. The Atrium and Rooftop Terrace can accommodate up to 250 people seated with a dance floor. We can also provide space for a ceremony in our Full Atrium for an additional fee.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Our event manager and executive chef look forward to creating a menu with the freshest seasonal fare and providing personal attention to every detail of your wedding weekend events. In order to help you choose your menu, we provide a complimentary tasting for two. We also offer personalized printed menus for your guests. For your convenience, we have also put together packages that include every detail needed for your day. This package is based on a five-hour wedding reception ranging from $110 – $145 per person.
We will provide a five-hour standard open bar with a champagne toast and tableside wine service. Any guest attending the event and requesting alcoholic beverages may be asked to present proof of age. Guests under 21 years old, or not able to present proof of age, will not be served alcoholic beverages.
You are welcome to provide your own wedding cake with no additional cutting fee. A list of recommended bakers is available upon request.
Vegetarians and Dietary Needs
We will make every effort to accommodate all vegetarians, vegans, allergies and other dietary needs.
We provide floor length white tablecloths with white napkins. You are welcome to provide your own linens.
We provide flameless votive candles for each table to compliment your centerpieces. We can provide you with a list of floral vendors.
Bands, DJs, or other Audiovisual usage
The entire Atrium must be reserved when using amplified sound, music or projection equipment. Audio-visual equipment may only be used after 8:00 pm Monday through Friday. We are happy to provide you with a list of bands and DJs.
Valet parking is available for $12 per car from 6:00 pm Monday - Saturday and from 8:30 am on Sunday. You may choose to pay for your guests valet, or just let them know it is available. If your event starts before 6:00 pm, the valet can be available earlier on Saturdays for an additional fee.
Entrance and Security
The 15th Street doors to the Atrium are used as a private entrance for your guests. A security guard fee of $220 will apply for a five hour reception. Additional hours are $35.
We will provide a special menu to children under the age of 10 priced at $20 per child.
An approximate number of guests must be given when reserving space and a final guarantee must be given at least two business days in advance of the event.
Room Fees and Minimums
Rental of the Full Atrium requires a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the food and beverage minimum along with a $1000 room rental fee. There is a Food and Beverage Minimum of $10,000 for daytime events ending before 5 pm and $20,000 for evening events beginning after 6 pm. This does not include the 20% service charge and 10% tax.
Cocktail Hour on our Rooftop Terrace
The Rooftop Terrace overlooking the Washington Monument, White House and the National Mall can be made available as the location for the cocktail hour, weather permitting. This requires an additional $1000 rental charge and an increase in the food and beverage minimum of $2000.
We can provide Ceremony space for up to 200 guests in the Full Atrium. A $500 set up fee applies.
Coat Check Attendant $100
One attendant per 100 guests is recommended.
Service Charge and Sales Tax
A 20% service charge will be added to all food and beverage charges. District of Columbia sales tax of 10% will be added to all food, beverage, fees and service charges.
Deposit, Pricing, Payment and Cancellation Policy
An initial deposit of 50% of the food and beverage minimum is required to reserve the Full Atrium. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Final payment is due prior to the start of the event; billing is not available. All cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations prior to 30 days in advance of the event date are subject to the forfeiture of the full deposit. Cancellations within 30 days of event date are subject to a charge equal to entire estimate, or $110 per guest, whichever is greater. Prices subject to change until menu selections are confirmed.
