Décor

The Victorian interior of Old Ebbitt Grill evokes Washington saloons at the turn of the century. With a history dating back to 1856, many artifacts have been beyond repair, however the spirit of the old Old Ebbitt remains. Original decorations such as antique beer steins, a walrus head (reputedly bagged by Teddy Roosevelt) and the antique clock over the revolving door remain. Its Beaux-Arts facade, mahogany and velvet booths and bars set in marble, brass and beveled glass are Washington at its finest.
